Registered Social Worker
Social Work services are available to patients of the FHT who are 16 years of age and older. Some issues that social workers deal with are depression, anxiety, grief, stress management and chronic pain.

Programs:

• Chronic Pain Program and Chronic Disease Program: These two programs are run independently, participants do not have to attend both. They are both 6 weeks in length and are free of charge. Participants do not have to be a patient of the Family Health Team to participate in either program, although preference is given to these individuals. Caregivers are also welcome. Topics covered include-pacing your day, relaxation and fatigue management.

Registered Dietitian
Registered Dietitian offers

• Counselling related to nutritional management and prevention of chronic disease such as Obesity, Dyslipidemia, Hypertension, Heart Disease, Stroke, Cancer, Chronic Respiratory Disease, Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes; as well as other disorders where diet is a recognized treatment; Gastro-intestinal Disorders, Renal diseases and Osteoporosis. 
• Mental Health Care related to eating disorders and emotional or compulsive eating.
• Family care which involves prenatal nutrition recommendations, helping with menu planning for families and nutrition recommendations for childhood feeding problems.
• Food Allergies
• General nutrition counselling for healthy lifestyle management
